In the spring of 2018 I displayed over 40 oil and watercolor paintings at the Museum of the Western Prairie in Altus. The Wee Winsome Wildflowers of Southwest Oklahoma interpretive art exhibit celebrated the beauty   and utility of native wildflowers, increased the awareness   of wildflowers today, and explored the current and historic uses of wildflowers.

An exhibition catalog researched and written by a humanities scholar was included - Nature Notes, Artistic Notes, Artist's Notes, Historical Notes, and Subject Notes. The notes connected the paintings to the history of Southwest Oklahoma while focusing on what could be gained by seeing nature, specifically wildflowers, through the eyes of an artist.

By making information about wildflowers appealing, accessible, and relevant, the Museum of the Western Prairie hoped to challenge visitors to have a positive impact on the environment.  By celebrating the purposeful beauty of native plants, the museum sought to encourage stewardship of the land.  The Wee Winsome Wildflowers was displayed April 1 - May 31, 2018 at the Museum of the Western Prairie, 1100 Memorial Drive,

Altus, Oklahoma.
