Hello and welcome. My name is Sandra and
I'm a middle school art teacher and artist who enjoys working in a variety of media.
I live by the words of artist, Marc Chagall, "I work in whatever medium likes me at the moment."
I love nature, beauty and whimsy. I'm particularly inspired by flowers, insects, animals, clouds, bodies of water and landscapes. I create drawings and paintings in watercolor, oil, and mixed media. I'm a collector and often use found objects and printed materials in my work. If it appeals to me in subject, color or shape, I will use it.
I'm currently collaging - the illustrations from a lovely vintage flower book are inspiring my journey.
