Hello and welcome.  My name is Sandra and

I'm a middle school art teacher and artist who enjoys working in a variety of media. 

 

I live by the words of artist, Marc Chagall, "I work in whatever medium likes me at the moment."

 

I'm inspired by nature: flowers, animals, insects, clouds, bodies of water and landscapes.  I create drawings and paintings in watercolors, oils, and mixed media.  I'm a collector and often use found objects in my artwork.

 

I also create jewelry (beads, gemstones, paper origami or metal) and I enjoy taking pictures in my backyard prairie hill or the wildlife refuge just over the fence - both places are deep sources of inspiration for me.
